Gahahe was built in 1989 in the Kayanza commune in the Kayanza province. It lies at an altitude of 1,805m and cherries are mainly collected from the surrounding Bubezi, Karinzi, and Mihigo hills.
Each time a container of these coffees are purchased, it helps fund healthcare for one hundred coffee farmers and their families who are otherwise unable to afford insurance.
